AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED

We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited–nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference, and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

SCHOOL-READY

Our kids are taking off!

By kindergarten, our kids are testing ahead of their peers. Read all about it.

Accreditation

Many of our child care centers are accredited by national organizations that require us to meet rigorous early childhood education standards and guidelines for high-quality care and education. Programs that are accredited have demonstrated their commitment to go beyond the state’s minimum licensing requirements to meet and maintain these high standards of quality.

Monthly Activities

February's Learning Focus

Children 6 weeks to 3 years old: Feelings + The Farm

This month, infants and toddlers will explore a very important aspect of human development: feelings. Babies are just beginning to develop a sense of who they are in relation to others, while toddlers are learning how to interact with those around them. Feelings are integral to human interaction, so activities will focus on identifying emotions (like happy, sad, and mad). We’ll read books, paint a mural, sing songs, and play games related to emotions and how we express them.

The children in Discovery Preschool will take their learning to the farm! Farms are filled with so many science- and social science-based learning opportunities that children love. They’ll learn all about barns and farming equipment, which animals are raised on a farm, and which crops are grown there, too.

Children 4–5 years old: Occupations and Dinosaurs

The older children in Preschool and Transitional Kindergarten will spend time on two very popular themes: occupations and (roar!) dinosaurs. We’ll focus on learning about jobs that help people, like doctors, and those that inspire, like artists and musicians. As children learn about these occupations, they’ll play dress up, invent things, create charts and graphs, and learn the Spanish words for different jobs. The dinosaur unit gives them a chance to learn more about these fascinating giant creatures, learn about fossils, explore volcanoes, and do math puzzles with pretend dino eggs!

Our Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks - 1 year)

Babies grow and learn every day. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing "home away from home" where babies can explore and make new discoveries. We know that learning through play is extremely valuable at this age and our Early Foundations® Infant program is designed to give babies the skills that will serve as the building blocks for a lifetime of learning.

Toddler Programs (1 – 2 Years)

As toddlers develop friendships, self-esteem, and curiosity, our Early Foundations® Toddler program will help them explore their world in a safe and nurturing environment. Our unique curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through experiences. So each day is filled with fun activities that excite and develop toddlers, giving them the comfort and confidence to speak those first few important words, as well as make their first friends.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2 – 3 Years)

At this age, children are making new discoveries daily. And as two-year olds begin to exert their independence, our Early Foundations® Discovery Preschool program is prepared to open their eyes to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. Our holistic approach in the classroom engages young minds with a blend of music, art, and movement, as well as the early education fundamentals they'll need as they continue on to preschool.

Preschool Programs (3 – 4 Years)

As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they may feel ready to take on the world. Our Early Foundations® Preschool program enhances that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children will work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts. A healthy dose of running, jumping, and dancing keeps them active too.

Prekindergarten Programs (4 – 5 Years)

Prekindergartners are preparing for the adventure of a lifetime – school. And our Early Foundations Prekindergarten® program is designed to get them ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills. With small group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and whole-group activities, children will have all the right skills to hop, skip, and jump right into kindergarten.

Before- & After-School Programs (5 – 12 Years)

Even after school's out for the day, children need to be engaged in a comfortable, yet stimulating environment. That's where our Catch the Wave® program comes in. This innovative before – and after-school program allows school-age children to balance learning and fun through a variety of experiences. From homework help to fun physical activities, our program is designed so that everyone goes home happy.

Summer Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Don’t miss out on KinderCare’s Summer of Wonder: Six themed programs that will make summer exciting, educational and tons of fun. Whether your child is in our preschool, Pre-K or school-age programs, all of it is designed to help children learn while soaking up the fun. We offer flexible scheduling options to meet the needs of busy families like yours so we hope to see you there.

Participating Child Care Aware Center

KinderCare has partnered with Child Care Aware® of America in an effort to offer fee assistance for Active Duty military families and solutions to their child care needs when care at a Child Development Center on the installation is not available.

Learning Adventures - Enrichment Program

Cooking

The Cooking Adventures program gives children opportunities to participate in fun, developmentally appropriate cooking experiences. They will learn about recipes, ingredients, cooking vocabulary, and the importance of a healthy diet. The curriculum includes lessons on picnics, pizza, and heart-healthy meals.

Math

The Math Adventures enrichment program is designed to teach important mathematics concepts such as geometry, numbers, measurement, and probability. Your child will learn about length, height, and weight. He will learn about shapes and solids. He will learn how to add, subtract, multiply, and count money. Math is everywhere and giving your child every advantage now will add up to success later in life.

Music

Ongoing research proves that early exposure to music helps children think, reason, create, and express themselves. Children will laugh and learn about rhythm, vocal melodies, and a variety of musical genres and instruments, which can lower stress and advance memory. Learning never sounded so good.

Phonics & Reading Adventures

Set your child up for advanced success with literacy through phonics, the study of letters and sounds. Reader books, games, and activity cards help your child understand the basics of vowels and blending syllables, giving him confidence and command of language.

Spanish

Spanish Adventures provides young learners with a foundation for later success with the Spanish language. Music, games, children's Spanish literature, and other tools give children multiple opportunities to hear, practice, and see Spanish language for vocabulary and conversational development. Curriculum includes lessons on greetings, numbers, colors, animals, family, body parts and pets as well as how to get engage conversationally during common scenarios at home, a restaurant, or at the zoo. Qué pasa?

Teachers & Staff

We have a variety of different teachers who have various experience working with children and their families.  Most of our teachers have education degrees in Early Learning Education and all of our teachers have their CPR and First Aid certificates. Our experience, education, and certification allows for your child to have the best and most safe educational learning experience.

    Miss Janelle Smith, Support Staff

Even though I am going into the dental field, I would like to help children by being a pediatric dental assistant.

I graduated High School in May of 2016 and have been taking some college class. I have decided to become a dental assistant in the area of pediatric care. I have only been with KinderCare for five  months but it has been enlightened about how children learn and require so much care. It can be challenging at times, but I love seeing the little faces when they learn something new. I am bilingual in English and Navajo. In the past I have babysit children and did some volunteering at the local YMCA but my trainings at KinderCare has showed me a lot about the right way to respect children and help them to learn. I try to bring something nice to each child and they give back to me.

About Our Center

Our center operates at the highest quality care and education for our students, and we are a 5 star NAEYC Accredited center!

We believe that the first five years of a child's life is the most important; it is where children learn and grow mentally and physically the most. Here at our center we have multi-age classrooms. This is beneficial to our students, because it allows them to learn at their own pace with the support of their teachers.

Our teachers provide our families a safe, fun, loving, and nurturing environment, which help our students learn and build self confidence. Our teachers have experience and education to be able to help and support each student's individual needs as they learn and grow.

Health and Safety

Our top priority at KinderCare is to provide a safe and healthy environment for our children, families and staff. We do this through rigorous training and constant assessment and evaluation of proper policies and procedures. your child's security begins at the front door. All guests and alternative pick-up arrangements are checked for identification and escorted through the building. Every one of our teachers have cleared local, state and federal background checks, including fingerprinting. We are trained in infant and child CPR and first aid. We do routine fire, storm and lock down drills to remain prepared for the unexpected. Throughout the day, your child will be supervised at all times. No child is ever left unattended, not even for a minute. The teachers have all been trained in supervision, discipline and guidance as well as developmentally appropriate practices, to endure they understand the risks associated with the children in their care. If your child has any food allergies or specific medical conditions, we will work with you to ensure your child's well-being. We also take the responsibility of your child's emotional security very seriously. We want every child to feel safe, loved and respected while at KinderCare.

At KinderCare, what families say about us means a lot. Read below some of the great experiences our families have had with us.

Share Your Story
If you have a story about your experience at KinderCare, please share your story with us.

My son started at KinderCare when he was two years old. Prior to KinderCare he was at a home daycare. KinderCare really helped him catch up to where he should be as far as speech, large and small motor skills. They also really helped him master his potty training. I am thankful that he has had great teachers all the way through his journey at KinderCare. He is now almost seven and going into first grade. He is in the School Age before and after school program, which really helps me out because with my work schedule I would not be able to take him to and from school. The fact that they bus him to and from his school back to KinderCare has really helped me so much.

- Father

When I first started my son at KinderCare he was only 3 months old and I was very nervous to leave him. When I met his teacher my worries subsided. I love his teacher and the way she is with the infants. She talks to them and comforts them. I definitely feel confident in leaving him for the day I know the love and care that he needs throughout the day, will be given to him by his teacher.

- Mother

I have raised three boys in my years of service at KinderCare. My oldest son is 17 and excelled in the KinderCare program by reading at four years old. I have two other boys who are nine and two. My nine-year-old son took the Learning Adventures Reading program because he wasn’t progressing the way he should. Through the reading program at KinderCare it boosted his confidence and is now reading one grade above where he should be. My two-year-old is defiantly two, but he loves his class and his teachers! He also loves the Learning Adventures Music program. I am so grateful to the KinderCare curriculum and special staff members that have served me and my family for fifteen years!

- Mother

I had a parent inquire about us in October, that are moving from Long Beach, CA. The mother said that they would be living here between January and February. They were finally able to come down here to look for housing and a center. The mother was so happy when they drove up to the center, because her son saw the building and was yelling school school! They came in and the little boy started to ask where his friends were. They mother said after the tour, that he went to a KinderCare in Long Beach, and that because he saw the sign and the red roof, he was ready to come in. She said that she felt very comfortable leaving him here, because we stayed in contact with her and that she knew all her son would have to get use to were the new teachers and children, and because the curriculum and schedules were the same, it would be the perfect fit!
