Carly has been the Registered Dietitian for over 8 years and joined KinderCare in August 2011. Carly earned her bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University in Nutrition and Food Management in 2003 and then completed her Dietetic Internship from Utah State University. Prior to joining KinderCare, Carly’s experienced ranged from inpatient healthcare and outpatient medical clinics to Head Start and consulting in long term care facilities. More recently, Carly earned her MBA from George Fox University. Carly’s role at KinderCare includes writing/creating the menu for the schools, development of new recipes, procurement of food items, nutrition education, social media related to nutrition, site visits to schools and education to cooks/kitchen staff. This has been a very fun and rewarding role for Carly both on a professional and personal level. Professionally, Carly is very passionate about nutrition education and healthy eating for children and families. And personally, as a Mom of two boys (who both attend KinderCare), it is an opportunity to be an advocate to all children to provide healthy and unique foods at the school level.
